Materials & Care
-
We gravitate toward natural fibers like alpaca, cotton, linen, and wool whenever possible, choosing materials for their comfort, beauty, and longevity.
When we incorporate technical fibers, it's only when they help improve the fit, durability, or lifespan of a garment.
-
Every fabric and textile is unique, so we recommend reviewing the care instructions on both the garment label and individual product page.
You can also visit our Care Guide for detailed recommendations.
-
Alpaca is naturally breathable, antimicrobial, and odor-resistant, meaning it typically requires less frequent washing.
When needed:
- Hand wash gently in cold water using mild detergent
- Avoid agitation or wringing
- Reshape while damp
- Lay flat to dry away from direct sunlight
You may also choose to dry clean your alpaca knits.
-
Absolutely. We recommend working with a trusted dry cleaner, ideally one that uses environmentally responsible cleaning methods whenever possible.
-
Some pilling is a natural characteristic of high-quality natural fibers, particularly alpaca and wool blends. The good news? Pilling is most common during the first few wears and can be easily removed with a sweater comb or fabric shaver.
We choose premium natural fibers because they feel beautiful, wear beautifully, and age gracefully. A little pilling is simply a sign that your sweater is made from real fibers—not plastic ones.
We recommend using a sweater stone to refresh your knit as needed.
